The customer called GNA because he was looking for a line to fill and pack feta cubes in jars and containers of different shapes and sizes; the line must ensure a very smooth translation, to grant the correct containment of the liquid inside the containers preventing its pouring during the entire handling phase.

The customer’s expectations about the system:

  • Flexible and modular solutions, which can be further developed in the future.
  • Manufactured with materials and components that meet the safety requirements of the Regulations in food sector.
  • Ability to handle containers of very different shapes and sizes.
  • Use of brushless motors, to ensure the best performance.
  • High level of automation which allows consumption and management cost savings.

 

To achieve the desired goal and the satisfaction of the end user, GNA:

  • Carried out accurate inspections at the customer’s plant,
  • Collected key examples and information,
  • Held several meetings with the customer to evaluate with him possible solutions,
  • Submitted various technical layouts, until reaching the optimal desired configuration.

The proposed and manufactured solution is developed around a main conveyor belt with indexed chain for the transport of differently shaped and sized containers.

The line consists of:

  • Denester for containers, for several lanes.
  • Conveyor chain.
  • Pneumatic denester for drainage net.
  • Automatic weighing unit with multihead weigher.
  • Filling station (simultaneous filling).
  • Brine dosing station.
  • Pneumatic denester for lids with storage and format change.
  • Lids applying station.
  • Lids closing station.
  • Outfeed belt for containers/final product.

A particular feature of this customizable and versatile solution is the choice of high-quality materials and components, which make sanitising and cleaning operations simple and effective, thus ensuring high hygiene levels in the dairy dairy packaging sector in accordance with the regulations in force.
