Filling and closing trays has never been so simple

RL 40 is GNA srl's proposal to the demand for resealable packaging

Filling and closing trays has never been so simple

Italy's GNA is launching RL 40, a resealable packaging that fits the current trend in the fresh-cut sector. The packaging which seals in a simple, effective way is the goal of every packer. The RL 40 line offered by the company provides this feature and is a linear solution designed for filling clamshell-type trays.

The RL40 quickly and accurately fills containers with food and ready-to-eat salads. The line is modular and consists of several elements. In addition, it can be equipped with optional devices.

"It can be easily integrated with any upstream weighing system and any downstream packaging or labeling system. In addition to clamshell-type packages, the RL 40 can also fill simple trays, which are geared towards flowpack packaging machines or heat sealers. The modular length of this solution highlights the great versatility of the system".

With more than thirty years of experience in automatic packaging systems, GNA has confirmed that this system, which is simple, flexible and highly adaptable, can meet the requirements of the market. "The experience gained over so many years has taught us how fundamental it is to respond quickly to requests and provide our customers with qualified advice and an efficient and effective pre- and after-sales service,” emphasized GNA.

"The product that goes in the weighing machine is dropped by means of a double unit into the trays, which are then transferred from the filling station to the pressing station and from there to the closing or packaging and labeling stations. The system guarantees a smooth and immediate cycle, thanks to the use of two moving funnels, which ensure, with continuous movement, the speed of the processing phases".

"The clamshell-type packaging requires special handling and accuracy because of the attached lid. The system is our solution to the ever-increasing demand for easy-to-open and reusable packs, although it can also be easily used for packs without lids."
